Forged alloy steel, carburised with a deep case, and checked for contact pattern as a matched set. The case depth is set from the tooth size, so the hardened layer survives the peak loads.
Planned Spares
Mill stops are costly, so we recommend keeping a matched spare set of the critical gears. We make spares to the drawing or from the gear removed.
Old Mills
