What We Recommend
Carburised alloy steel such as 20MnCr5 or EN353, with a deep case to carry shock. Forged blanks for the larger gears, and a lapped or ground finish according to speed. We design the case depth around the tooth size so the gear survives the peak torque, not just the average.
